Regan Petersen brings over a decade of experience in the consumer, entertainment, marketing and technology public relations industry to her national and local clients including McDonald’s, Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey, Disney on Ice, Pioneers Volunteer Network, Gigaset Communications, Clyfford Still Museum and Fantastic Sams.
Before founding Fitzgerald Petersen Communications in June of 2005, Regan was at Ogilvy Public Relations as Vice President for the agency’s Consumer, Entertainment, Healthcare and Technology clients across the network. In this capacity, she was responsible for managing media and analyst relations, account strategy and planning for national and local clients.
At Ogilvy, Regan managed agency clients including Quiznos Sub, Crocs, Amoco BP’s Wild Bean Cafes, Celestial Seasonings, Pizza Hut, Sun Microsystems, Uniden America Corporation, eCash Technologies, Mile High City Marathon, Jones Knowledge, KPNQwest, Xerox and Qwest Communications.
While managing the Sun account, Regan developed core public relations programs for the company’s government, security and managed services campaigns while advancing the division’s visibility by 150% over a three year time period. Regan also counseled account teams across the network for national broadcast pitching, video production, media training and a variety of other broadcast-related initiatives. In 2004, Regan was recognized with the 2003 CEO Award for her management of the Sun Microsystems account.
In her role as a Media Specialist, Regan maintains high-level national relationships at media outlets such as O Magazine, New York Times, USA Today, Fortune, Forbes, CBS Marketwatch, FOX and The Wall Street Journal. In the local Colorado arena, Regan has personal daily contact with entertainment and consumer reporters at The Denver Post, Colorado Springs Gazette and all broadcast stations in the region.
Regan started her career in public relations working at Peter Webb Public Relations in Denver. While at Peter Webb, Regan implemented media relations, government and community outreach programs for numerous clients, including the Park Meadows Shopping Center, Colorado Department of Transportation, City of Aurora, Quiznos Sub, Colorado Lottery and Colorado Recycles.
Regan gained valuable media experience while working as a production assistant with ESPN and NBC's Extra. She earned a bachelor's degree from Colorado State University. Regan resides in Denver with her husband and three sons.
